Neil Mohoboob and Aysha Norat were married on 8th March, 2009 at London Hilton Waldorf. |

Aysha and Neil planned their wedding day in six months. It began with a large Indian ceremony, followed by a civil wedding and celebration inside the elaborate Palm Court of the London Hilton Waldorf. They chose a pink and gold colour scheme with a 1950s feel. Aysha says: "The décor was amazing and had a real wow factor. "When we walked in after the ceremony we were faced with a huge projector. Neil had collected photos that captured our memories from when we were dating right up to our religious ceremony the previous day. To see that being displayed was a real surprise. Another memorable part of the day was the beautiful speech that Neil wrote, it was truly touching."

Iyare Igiehon and Laura Murray were married on Monday 30th March at Wandsworth Civic Suites. |

Laura and Iyare organised their big day in just two months, years after Iyare's surprise proposal on a beach in Dubai. "Iyare and I are very laid back and although we've wanted to get married for a couple of years now, we hadn't got around to organising it." The couple found a new wedding planner wanting to gain experience and plans for a turquoise and silver themed day sprung into action. "As I'm pregnant it was great to get married so quickly and not have to waddle down the aisle at a later date," says Laura. "The baby enjoyed it as she kicked away throughout the day!" But their plans weren't without a few heart-stopping moments. "A month before the date the roof fell in on the gorgeous venue we intended to get married in!" recalls Laura. But with renewed plans in place, they tied the knot at Wandsworth Civic Suites. "The registrar said at the end of the service that he knew from the moment he met us that we were a very special couple and were meant for each other," says Laura. "That really touched us and our friends and family."

Simon McKay and Rani Shillam were married on 23/05/2009 at Hammersmith & Fulham Register Office. |
| |
|
 |
Rani and Simon had a no-fuss wedding, inspired by urban seventies style. "We wanted a low key wedding which would reflect our lifestyle," says Simon. "Rani wore an original 1960s turquoise crochet dress from One of a Kind on Portobello Road and I wore a bespoke tuxedo which was made for my father in 1973." The pair took double decker buses to the registry office where they had an intimate ceremony with 15 guests. Afterwards, black cabs were hailed to transport guests to the Blah Blah Blah restaurant. Seating arrangements on the day were a concern for the couple. "A number of people hadn't met before and Simon's parents hadn't seen one another for 32 years," recalls Rani. "Perhaps it was the small scale of the wedding, but the event's intimate nature meant the integration of our families actually proved to be one of the biggest successes of the day."

Piranavan Sucindran and Thusha Sivarajah were married on 30th May at Novotel London West and Moor Park Mansion. |

"As Thusha's brother put it in his speech; most people have a wedding day, we however, had a wedding epic," says Piran. "Spanning three different months, our three celebrations were all different in their own way and fulfilled our every dream." The couple's first ceremony took place on Saturday, 30th May with a pink and white 'candy' theme. "We had more of a western look for this event where Thusha wore a flowing white dress," says Piran. The couple's June Hindu ceremony then had a traditional edge. "We chose red and gold, in keeping with Sri Lankan tradition, and themed our decoration with Ganapati - the Hindu elephant-headed god. "When I tied the ceremonial garland - thali - around Thusha's neck it was the culmination of everything we'd been building up to for a year, it was absolutely perfect," he adds. Their ceremonies culminated with a July reception with a cocktail theme. "Both of us love cocktails and had mixologists from our favourite bar, Lounge 34 in Waterloo, making the guests drinks. Our guests loved it!" says Piran.
