What’s the prize?

Wedding of the Year

The overall winners will not only claim the all-important Wedding of the Year title and a feature all about their big day in the magazine, they’ll also win a luxurious two-night mini-break in a junior suite at Hendon Hall Hotel, complete with a champagne reception, afternoon tea on one of the days, plus dinner on both nights including a bottle of selected wine. Terms and conditions apply, dates are subject to availability.

A grand and opulent hotel with a stately home feel, Hendon Hall is the perfect venue for a wow-factor wedding. The 17th-century building’s magnificent exterior is mirrored inside with high ceilings, luxe fabrics and sparkling chandeliers throughout.
Newlyweds-to-be can tie the knot in any one of four function rooms with up to 200 guests. Rooms include the self-contained Pembroke Suite, which comes with its own bar and can be used for a ceremony or reception. Choose exclusive use and up to 350 evening revellers can be accommodated to help you celebrate saying ‘I do’ in style.

The hotel boasts 57 bedrooms – a mixture of classic, executive and four-posters as well as junior suites – which were all refurbished to a high standard in 2010. It also houses signature restaurant The Garrick, where head chef Richard Walker serves up a delicious selection of modern British dishes, from contemporary classics to inventive fusion recipes; there’s also The Lounge & Bar, which offers a relaxing spot to enjoy afternoon tea or perhaps something stronger.

Telephone 020 8457 2500 or visit www.handpickedhotels.co.uk/hendonhall to find out more.

Readers' poll

Who cares more about your big day - you or your hubby-to-be?

Definitely me, all he has to do is turn up!
He'll be doing the 'man stuff' such as suits and cars but he hasn't a clue about flowers.
I've been surprised by how involved he wants to be - but the details are my domain.
He's the original groomzilla - he has an opinion about everything.
